I keep paint.net open on my computer at all times exclusively for cropping screenshots

When I actually draw I use Krita. I downloaded PDN literally exclusively to crop screenshots

Use snipping tool (comes by default with windows i think)

Select desired area. It will put it on ur clipboard

Then simply control + v in forum post

I like seeing the whole screen shot before I crop it and I like being able to Ctrl+Z back through past screenshots and I like being able to screenshot something and leave it to crop later

i use lightshot which is basically the same thing as the thing silviu said (but id idnt even know that existed)
