i feel like that helps with the problems min’s suggesting; player lore, or preferably, mechanical motives

lore is based though
but it does make people Not want to kill or die lol
it is arguable whether this is a good idea or not outside of the context of fiction
its lame as hell
but if it “has never worked”
and you definitely can’t do it for more then 1 trial
