It’s a word and an awesome one. LOVE to call things cyclical. Washing machines. Mafia games. Thought patterns

you see
i always just use the word “cyclic”

That doesn’t have the same vibe. CY-cli-cal. The word itself has that repetitive rhythm. You could go insane mumbling it to yourself over and over. “Cylic”? That has none of those features. No glamorous aura of madness. It sounds like a tech company that makes smart toilet bowls. It sounds like the name of the protagonist’s love interest in a YA dystopian fantasy novel that’s definitely far too late to ride off the Hunger Games wave. It sounds like a brand-name medication for nothing in particular. “Cyclical” was born in autumn and “cyclic” was born in one of those minimalist all-white hellscape houses that look like the inside of an AirPod case. It’s never seen a leaf in its life.

I feel like that one girl on twitter that said

“You can’t celebrate this arabic holiday because you guys are not muslims”

And then one that actually shares that religion

“On behalf of all people except [user that posted this], I invite you all to celebrate this [arabic holiday].”
