its a cool language though, unfortunately i am gay and depressed so i forgot most of my knowledge of it over the past 3 years but i could probably pick it back up and get to fluency with like, a few months of concerted effort but like

i could also do literally anything else

if i ever learn to be fluent in German it’s going to be to study German history, at which point I’d probably be learning classical German rather than modern German, which, as previously implied, is a drastically different language

for reasons that are too obscure to get into i ended up decoding and half-translating a piece of the Copiale manuscript, which after decoding is in classical german, and it was nearly incomprehensible even though i knew most of the linguistic particles (Real Term) involved
