I really… don’t like it either.

You’d expect somebody who had been friends with each other for 10 years would be more reluctant to end it completely. What’s worse the one that was stealing the attention and concentration of the person in question was HER BOYFRIEND.

But… the ending point is some mannerism here that we do. If you know a friend’s parents, you say “Good morning/evening” to show respect. Thouuuugh the person in question doesn’t even do all of that and you knoooow some parents get fussy over it.
