Typing with one hand is rough sometimes.
Not only did I nitpick other people’s papers to hell and back and then secretly make fun of them to my online friends, none of my essays had any easy grammatical errors to fix so people would have to STRETCH. They’d be like “uhm all these sentences start with the same phrase kinda repetitive” and I’d sit there and seethe like “IT’S A LITERARY DEVICE”

Yo same, I got in trouble once for trying to fail a classmate on a mock essay grading assignment 
I was warned to give points for strengths and not to deduct points for mistakes.

Once a guy said he didn’t like my Warrior Cats fanfiction which was just a vignette of a cat sitting there and dying because it was “too repetitive” and that was the ENTIRE GIMMICK THAT WAS THE WHOLE THING THAT THE ENTIRE STORY WAS COLOURED BY THE CAT’S PAIN AND SO THE WORD WAS REPEATED OVER AND OVER AGAIN and I was so mad I never listened to his advice again anyway it was probably too repetitive

At some point I stopped writing fanfics and in hindsight it was a fantastic decision

Yeah I stopped when I was like 12 or 13 but it just meant I stopped writing altogether. My “fanfiction” was Warrior Cats fanfiction in the way that most fantasy is Tolkien fanfiction. It took cues from the books for, like, setting, but I was never at all interested in writing about any of the specific characters or plotlines from the books.
I’ve told the story here before. The one about how my friend and I kept one-upping each other in our stories by increasing hte number of cats involved and the complexity of their political structures until we had kingdoms with extensive government structures and various councils and we’d namedrop like “10,000 more cats have died from this New Disease” so smugly at each other it was so fucking funny
