Spelling Bee (Mafia): Once per game during the day, choose a player (not a member of the Mafia). They will be forced to mash through dialogue for the rest of the day in their rolecard, rendering them unable to speak publicly.

Okay, listen.

This might sound like an unpopular opinion, but I don’t think silencing is inherently bad for longform. After all, getting killed is the exact same thing.

Would you rather be killed and silenced forever, or killed and then revived, how exciting would that be? Blackmailing would just be like that.

Yes I am. Only secondhand. So I do not count it as a place I have been

i don’t use it. but i know people who do. unfortunately

if i’m silenced I lose motivation to read the game
but then I have to come back to the game

this is how mafia was meant to be played

Riichi Mahjong mafia had a role that makes it so people can only post in the word “nya” and Mahjong Soul emotes. There is another, rarer role which does this but the perosn dies at the end of the day. You do not get to know which you have been targeted by

You’re temporarily silenced during the night though.
