for the record? not the first time this has happened. when I have very regexable problems and then one singular thing that will take more than one regex to regex my brain just refuses to consider that. A while ago I was doing something to do with an already existing .txt of mafia rolecards in a very specific format and I did this exact same thing. Alot of it is fairly easy and then i get punched in the face and I am doomed forever. In fact I think it was this exact same thing with a slightly different coat of paint.

And yes, of course, the solution last time was also finding all occurances of the first thing and then finding the first occurance of a character after said thing and then putting both halves together. I dont know why I only remember this after going insane
