I actively aim to become less normal and doing this has improved my quality of life significantly
Highly recommend if possible to remove the objective of Being Normal from decision-making process. Obviously there are still material reasons to Be Normal much of the time but my reason for complying in those scenarios is usually “I will upset people and or get arrested if I do this” rather than “I will violate an abstract idea of Normality if I do this”
