i was just in a google meeting with a guy iām doing online internship with, affiliated with my uni
he assigned us to teams to do a project for us to get graded
he turned to two of the guys and said āiām assigning you this lady, the only lady in the group. take good care of her and make sure she works. and by that i dont mean just ābring coffeeā, but actual work. i will make sure that everyone has put in effortā

i died of embarassment i had to bite my finger like may. god that was painful to hear 
this isnāt funny if you donāt say who the philosopher is, without context it could just be like āoh heās named after John Stuart Millā or something which is a totally reasonable way to name your kid
