my phone died 5 seconds after i paid for my groceries
the shop i normally go to closed 2 hours early for some reason but i only learnt about this when i showed up and there was a sign on the door
my phone was at like 2% at this point and i wasted some battery taking a picture of a snail just before i got to the first store
so then i had to hurry to the next one and i made it just in time
but i was thinking wtf would i do if i lost my only way of paying in the middle of the woman scanning my stuff (this store didn’t have any self checkout things)
and she was taking so long cuz she kept stopping and talking to her coworker (apparently she couldn’t do that without directly facing her and stopping whatever she was doing)
i was holding back tears
