bad excuse time ig

If you really don’t trust them, I suppose you might get away with calling it a nickname or saying it was the wrong letter. Would they really disbelieve you?

can you plausibly play it off as a bug (e.g. there’s some student with your name and they accidentally sent an email with that name to Everyone) or is it not the sort of email where this could plausibly have happened

Maybe actually, i dont know how believeable that is though

Then again ive had a fuck ton of other issues with their email already that ive voiced to my parents so maybe theyd believe it

  1. what the hell is the point in asking a preferred name if you’re not gonna use it
  2. what the hell is the point in telling someone that they’re not gonna use it AND THEN USING IT ANYWAYS

this is like Blue's Clues

Did it just say like “Dear [Preferred Name] Lastname” or something else?

probably not Super plausible then, when I’ve experienced (legit) bugs like that it’s normally been in communications sent to the entire school

(ofc either way I don’t know how technologically competent your parents are)
