also ness has a better spot on the tierlist so playing lucas gets you more low tier clout
me either and also id have to like, unplug my work computer and thats sooooo much effort
Really the smash devs are to blame bc I used to be a villager main but they changed him ever so slightly in ssbu and so I mained ness instead

villager is like. one of the characters they changed the least in the transition to ultimate

Nah he was differnet
He felt so different
Like idk what they did but I went from smoking with him to not being able to do anything and so then my old backup (ness) had to turn into my new main

tbf villager is near the bottom in the ultimate tierlist. i think it’s that they made every other character better. power creep. a mid tier by ultimate standards would be solid in smash 4
