my first dnd campaign was with locke and he prefers 3.5e and so that was my first exposure

apparently in 5e you don’t have to confirm a critical!
i bet there’s lots of randomass rules like that that i just don’t know changed
which is why id do 3.5e

But I was also like

Literally there for the transition from 3.5 to 5e

(My family skipped 4e for the same reasons everyone else did)

D&D one or whatever looks really good from the playtests now. Fixing a lot of the problems 5e had.

oh ive heard only bad things about it

The head designer got fired or quit or something, and now everything is way better lol

I’ve only played 5e campaigns but most of them do add quite a lot of extra rulings

Oh I have the books for 5e so I typically prefer 5e, so long as it isn’t too different I wouldn’t have a problem
