yeah that’s the problem with ‘if these specific town people die then lose’ since a theoretically perfect wolfteam or theoretically fucking awful masons can ruin the experience for the rest of the game

it’s been tried a decent bit but you have to accept that the basic idea is probably not great in the basic fm framework
a VIP situation works best I’d imagine in a system far more incremental in terms of tangible gains like project winter

The reason I liked the miller as a hypothetical small adjustment is that it removes some of the awkward unfun little bits of the original setup. Specifically the fact that it’s super easy to be hard outed wolf and still be technically in the game while having, like, zero reason to post in thread. Mason hunting means it’s not literally nothing to do but it’s so awkward
consider looking into push the button
genuinely had the exact same challenges and their solutions are interesting™

on the old site there were 2 ‘VIP’ style games
one was hosted by twilight the other by psycho
I can’t reconstruct the psycho one from memory but as for the one by twilight
