I feel like queer people generally are drawn to online spaces because it’s Safer and they feel more comfortable being themselves somewhere where they won’t be physically harmed?
And I think that lots of communities probably have gender queer people, it’s just that we happen to be a place where people are vocal and open about it - it’s normalized here. People feel safe
And because there are so many openly gay™ people and we’re a supporting space, people who might not otherwise do it start to think more about their gender/sexuality and realize things about themselves
