All of your reasons are why it’s easier, but not necessarily less complex. And again, you disagreeing with it doesn’t change the fact that the meta existed, and was more difficult to play as VT than it was to play VT in Mountainous. You can think it’s wrong to play that way, but the fact you could means it’s a more complex setup even if it’s, in the aggregate, a more town-sided setup. You can either play the game strictly as a VT and try to hunt wolves, or you can play around the Cop and try to maximizing the probability of the Cop surviving for as long possible. It doesn’t matter what a given player chooses, or what players should or often choose, the complexity comes from the fact that the choice is both meaningful and exists at all.
