Cookie Thread Act 6: Cookie & Thread

Am not super experienced with sci fi novels. But that overexplaining felt to be some kind of validation to make it as believable as possible. Overbearing in the sense it was trying too hard to make it seem as realistic as possible. From the timespan to the subtly of the conflict.

On the other hand, one of the viewpoint protagonists is a cultish extremist with the physical build of a Maze Runner griever, reigning as a good some twenty-four thousand years after the original series if I remember correctly, so that’s cool.

I think I read Brave New World

It was okay, but not really my kind of book

(I also read it in middle school, so my tastes mightve been a bit different then)

“Critical language analysis of humanity at its most visceral.”
Something like that.

i’m not a particularly nerdy type

i can appreciate good worldbuilding and like good character interactions too, but if the latter is just the whole book with no setpieces i might get bored with it

i like humour too. some of my favourite stories (which i forgot the names of. cause of course) featured a lot of absurd moments that would be go how i deemed them to in reality

meaning i don’t have a particular taste for space, jet engines, or anything of the sort

the one thing i would consider a nerd interest that i like is the human mind
