I suppose that’s reasonable enough logic, I’ll forgive your transgression this time.

I already knew about the Brantsteele simulator. It was a recurring goofy minigame people kept toying with on the old forum site.

yeah and you can make literal deities play the hunger games. who needs to read a book

Something something why read books when {insert AI generated propaganda}.
This is a joke.

Unironically, brantsteele hunger games is soooo so so disappointing. Nothing is ever accounted for. Players that receive supplies, never come into effect for if they survive or not. No change in stats to give them better survivability rates as well.

nya nya mya

@atlas

Im just gonna list the books and 2 things I like + 1 thing I dislike/you might dislike about them

The Murderbot Diaries (the whole series)

  • I really like the narration style + protagonist’s personality
  • can read as a mix between thriller/action (depending on the book)
  • the side characters are pretty forgettable, though

The Wednesday Wars

  • I really like how the character dynamics develop throughout the book
  • quite wholesome/funny, with surprisingly deep moments mixed in there
  • don’t read the 3rd book in the same universe (Just Like That) - I have never forgiven the author for what he did to my boy

The Traveling Cat Chronicles

  • very sweet/wholesome, also cat
  • slice of life, if you’re into that
  • made me cry (does this count as a dislike? Idk)

Tress of the Emerald Sea

  • wholesome + funny + the narration style is hilarious
  • I love the characters + the worldbuilding ks really really cool
  • has some references that will completely fly over your head if you havent read any of thr other books by the same author (also, will lightly spoil some of the other books by said author)

I have more but my 1 hour of free airplane wifi is expiring

Also i should nap

(I mean, okay, the author does a really good job of making you empathize with the protagonist of that book)

(BY KILLING OFF MY FAVORITE CHARACTER AND MAKING THE OTHER CHARACTERS FEEL SAD ABOUT IT)

(We then spent like a third of the book going through the stages of grief)
