Of all things that sounded batshit insane, that was like the literal one true thing, and also shouldn’t be controversial. The state has a duty of care to prisoners, and provide them with medically necessary healthcare. If a doctor says a surgery is medically necessary, the state is supposed to make it happen. So, an illegal transgender immigrant (alien) should get gender affirming surgery in prison if a doctor decides it’s a necessity for them, and evidently this has occurred.
