Gather Darkness
Day | Multitaskable
Consume 2 souls to make Reap bypass death immunity tonight.

Reap
Night | Unhealable | :crown: | Infinite use
Reap the soul of target player, killing them and leaving an empty body for 1 day.

Circle of Death

clarifications:

  • Consume Soul brings you back from all forms of night death except execution by the Prince. (but including any other strongman kill)
  • If you die multiple times in the same night you only consume 1 soul to come back
  • I believe that if you have 0 souls, get attacked, and successfully reap someone, you still die. Not positive.
  • If you are bleeding, but on the first night of bleeding, and you get attacked, then when you revive you won’t be bleeding anymore. I think.
  • You don’t get a soul if you reap a Butler who suicides that night
  • I’m not positive on the multitaskability but I think it was at least sometimes right? I’m using my “this has definitely been the case at least sometimes” prerogative to say you can only Icy Touch 1 person per day, though
  • Circle of Death does not trigger knights to attack you.
  • I’m not sure if there’s a better way to explain what Reap does. Non-ToLers, is it clear to you?
  • I’m not positive on the blocking day abilities part of Icy Touch, I thought it did but the wiki seems to think not (or only sometimes). does anyone know more?
  • Reaped/Chilled players can still have their vote forced by someone else
  • If you Reap someone and in the same night that player is targeted by a regular attack, that player will die unhealably in that night

Re: Consume Soul: do they die and then come back to life (naive understanding of revive), or does it make them death immune instead?

its functionally equivalent to death immunity yea

they die and come back to life, but this isn’t announced publicly (they’re the only one who is informed of dying and coming back to life)

not quite! there are lots of things that bypass death immunity that just take a soul off a reaper

well you get the idea

also, fwiw, I’m not sure how much you’re aware of in terms of ToL mechanics, but so-called “death immunity” is significantly less comprehensive than you might imagine

Right, I saw that. That name does not seem good lol. I’m sure it’s just kinda fiat what does and does not bypass this revive?

So this is actually significantly less fiat than most of the random bullshit interactions here – the only thing that bypasses it is being executed by the Prince, which is treated as ~mechanically equivalent to being executed during the day
