i’d rank the penultimates s1>s3>s2>>>>>>s4>>>>s5
s5 doesn’t have a real penultimate and s4 just feels like it fell flat
i’d rate the season finales s2>s4>s1>>>s3>>>s5
the penultimates are a real pleasure (except for s5 which DOESNT HAVE A REAL ONE) and s1’s penultimate of the characters all coming together and doing stuff was great when its just been jonathan sims for the last 30~ish hours alone with less than 15m of other dialogue from other people
s3 penultimate with the circus theming and tim stoker was pretty good, s2’s does kinda feel like a slightly more boring version of s1’s
s2 finale is probably the height of the show with Jurgen Leitner appearing and his va is great and everything about him is pretty interesting and realistic
s4’s finale (episode 160) has a great basically monologue from jonah magnus and the rhyming part at the end is great and s1’s debriefing by… jonah? i forget it if it was him or jonathan was pretty needed after the first hectic scene of the entire show
s5 finale and penultimate is bad and s3 finale is pretty boring coma stuff

im pretty sure 80% of the reason why i like jurgen’s character is because of his va
