there are also a lot of those fuckers tbf

many of them have no relevance in game or competitive, so they’re even easier to forget.

however, any psychoanalysis of me is going to be constrained by the fact that the pokemon i most often forgot in my earlier runs are now in the “pokemon i routinely forget” part of my brain, which helps me to remember them easier. so the ones i struggle on now are the pokemon in the tier of memorability just above that (or the ones i forget to mentally highlight in that tier)

i didnt know if it was fully serious or half serious half satire. some questions seemed normal. and then i remember a question “i’ve considered not having children (entirely) out of concerns for the climate”

some of it is like “does the patriarchy still exist” and then some are like “so should we kill every white man to make it up for what they’ve done”

Yes, the teleporter kills you. Here’s a quick synopsis of why, from an metaphysical ground.

If your body were to be cloned without destroying your previous vessel, your own consciousness would be housed in the original. Your own brain’s molecules would need to be transferred in order to maintain the effect. Your clone would remember themselves to share the same consciousness, but they do not; it’s merely a perfect replication.

You cannot explode Theseus’ Ship, build a replica, and call it the same.

i would be perfectly fine with this consciousness ending and a new one that has all of my memories and experiences etc. THINKING that it’s me. But that’s just me.

i think we need more explanation on how this teleporter works. what if its just a transportation device like a worm hole. and there’s no clone, u just bend space time

but then you die?? is that not bad

“Are you okay to go on this suicide mission? Don’t worry, we have a clone of you; we won’t notice any difference!”

Summary

id be fine with it

that sounds depressing but i dont feel sad

they’re eating the dogs, they’re eating the cats

i mean i guess? but like, if I died I’d be mostly sad that I didn’t get to do the things I wanted to, or experience some cool things, or take care of those I love

but if someone else who was exactly ME was able to do that, I would be fine with it I guess

TF2 Teleporter versus Jumper Teleporter, basically.
The issue is that creating a wormhole would maintain all your momentum, so if you teleported whilst in a vehicle, your inertia might crash you through a wall. This isn’t a danger with the former construct.
