We have an official statement from Pocketpair this time

As announced on September 19, 2024, The Pokémon Company and Nintendo Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the “Plaintiffs”) have filed a patent infringement lawsuit against us. We have received inquiries from various media outlets regarding the status of the lawsuit, and we would like to report the details and current status of this case as follows:

1: Details of the Lawsuit
The Plaintiffs claim that “Palworld,” released by us on January 19, 2024, infringes upon the following three patents held by the Plaintiffs, and are seeking an injunction against the game and compensation for a portion of the damages incurred between the date of registration of the patents and the date of filing of this lawsuit.

We will continue to assert our position in this case through future legal proceedings.

My mom’s the same height as me and wears heels essentially every waking hour of her life because, like, you are in practice much shorter than a large portion of people you see. I’m like six inches shorter than the average male height! Most people are taller than me and least 25% of the people I see are gonna be like a full head taller than me! My experience is not that of an Average Height Person

also they’re seeking like almost nothing in damages comparatively

so if there’s any lingering doubt this isn’t just being a bully and trying to send a message to others that should clear that up, they can’t even argue it caused more than like 30k USD damages lol

Also side tangent having been a child the majority of my life I always registered the fact that I’m physically smaller than most adults as, like, you know, part of the nature of being a child, and that’s still residual in my mind to a degree, despite the fact that I haven’t grown in years and this is almost certainly my Final Adult Height. Like it still feels like a symptom of youth. But it’s not

Ok, chat, decision to make.
Remember how I worked on that film set as a grip? Director of that film reached out to me because a friend of his needs a grip for their film. Would be working this weekend and next.
The major con is that the shoot sprained my core and couldn’t move for half the week.
