Why do all the goofy characters get this or adjacent names?
It didn’t need to happen while I was alive but if I chose somebody with an active ability it would have happened. You can ask the STs, my ability happens in this way

And it just feels like a convenient evil claim to throw shade on others.

Also Bionic being evil traveller seems correct unless May/Pigeon are the team.
I think that Mist played in ways that indicated the slot as a good traveller.

That’s a reasonable observation. Of course, Bionic wouldn’t have known the difference one way or another. It’s probably best to assume they were evil for worldbuilding’s sake to that end.
