It is heavily recommended for the fun of other players that you vote for several differing songs with differing amounts
(Also there is a cap to how much you can vote per song)

The cap is 7 actually, so you can’t do that. But yeah, if you just only dump point on one song, it kinda just render the entire thing pointless.
