TLDR: I MAKE THING; I CODE BAD; THING BLOW UP
FoL Recap is a project I’ve been working on this month, with the idea of giving individual user stats and presenting it in a small video, one for each user and one for the entire community. This has been a very fun project and has given me time to sharpen my programming and video* editing** skills***. No i won’t explain the asterisks alot has happened. Including me being lazy but ignore that.
When I say gift exploded what I mean more is, database exploded. To achieve this I had to collect data on every post. Every Post. and their interactions between posts such as links quotes likes and mentions. And needless to say this made a rather big file. File exploded. Oh don’t worry I can repair- no no I can’t. Frankly I have what should be all the data in the form of sql statements to reimplement it but somewhere in a couple few several millions of lines there’s an issue and sql does not want to give me a hint on that and as a result there is, by neccesity a delay in this.The recap project. For the end of the year. You know, this year.
Needless to say it won’t come out this year. You’ll see it in January. probably. In the mean time? I took some stats for previous years (ends late 2023) prior to the Explosion Incident. Lets see those.

Discourse scores posts btw. Check the json for a thread. Each post has a score. Really. What does the score mean? Absolutely nothing. However having a big number is cool. Lets see who had the biggest numbers…
Third Place: @sulit with a score of 2821.
Second Place: @May with a score of 3011.
First Place: @Arctic with a score of 3061!
Honorable Mentions:
When combined, @sulit and @homiecat take the #1 spot.
When including OPs, which are heavily biased in scoring, @Arete takes #1 with a score of 3125.
This probably gives away some of the stats that will be on display but fear not - I have alot more - this is just what I salvaged from earlier this month.
