is it?
am i dumb and not realising why
âIn some way importantâ
My friend⌠itâs⌠2 cop checks.
Like what?
If I make a proposition with 4 people in it, and none of them are me, I am giving the wolves 4 chances to be in that proposition, by including myself I am giving them 3 chances.
Additionally I also learn information on what happened simply by being in the prop. If it fails, I know it wasnât me. If youâre not in it, you donât have that knowledge
2?
A cop check doesnât do as much as youâd hope, your best hope is hoping you get a greencheck, so you can have someone you can trust, but even then thatâs only you. Nobody else has to believe you
but then if you are choosing 4 other people that are not you. AND you are wolf it would be down to just 3 wolfs can be chosen.
this is true however as you stated before it can also be used to test already assembled parties of people generally trusted with a +1
in short i agree that its kinda stupid now you typed it all out. dont know why it would be suspicous tho
In any world it is best for you (as the proposer) to be the +1. If the prop was pure N1, then you know itâs pure now. If it wasnât pure, youâll be the only one who will know that. Not even the people in the N1 prop will know that because they might just believe itâs you
On top of this if you get a greencheck, you can then trust the 2nd result that the player you trust has claimed to have seen.
ok yeah thats fair
this shit is fully confusing me
Yeah but a wolf wouldnât make a prop without them (or one of their teammates) in it. Likewise, a townie proposing 4 random people has a very high chance of randomly putting wolves in there just by chance
Upon our first fail, the person holding the lady of the lake gets a cop check and the checked player gains the lady of the lake.
Upon our second fail, the new person holding the lady of the lake gets a cop check.
The cop check is nice for security, I suppose, but it doesnât resolve the primary issue that town loses if we donât get 3 successful props. And there are 4 evils.
OH. i thought it was just every succeed you get a blessing then a fail happens and they are all used.
Is the cop check allignment or card?
At best youâre hoping you can get 3 âclearsâ but by that point, weâre at node 4 and 5 which are 5-man propositions which would still require 2 unknowns to join in
It makes the end-game easier if we get there,I suppose. More solveableâŚ
I believe alignment.
So alignment cop, not full cop.
But still 2x alignment checks is super beneficial and you can bet your ass Iâd have failed last mission to prevent an alignment check.
I wouldnât. No reason to. Pass the first mission, 50/50 chance on being trusted with the alignment check. Fail the next one, sabotage literally all of the alignment checkers if you got it and go deep.
efficient really
Well thatâs the difference.
You think that the social trust is a fine reason to pass it.
Personally I prefer taking 1/3 towards winning, suspicion amongst 3 people (Which isnât that useful for PoE purposes) and -1 cop check.
But yâknow, you do you.
