Hide and Seek
Created and hosted by @Ash
Inspired by @Atlas’ EIMM game
Gameplay
Every round, players create ALIASes and have to guess which player created which ALIAS. The top 20% of players (rounded up) who were correctly guessed are eliminated.
Repeat until two or fewer players remain.
Rounds will last 24 hours each. You may PM other players, but loop me in.
What You Submit Each Round
At the end of each Round, submit:
- A list that indicates which player you think each ALIAS is. This doesn’t need to be fully complete or accurate: you’re allowed to repeat players throughout the list or leave spaces blank.
- Your ALIAS for the next round.
Submissions are due one hour before the end of the round.
ALIAS Restrictions
ALIASes must be 50 characters or less.
You can’t repeat an ALIAS used in a previous round, including from other players.
No naming yourself after other players, including yourself.
No NSFW stuff.
Round 4 on:
No linebreaks.
I reserve the right to veto an ALIAS if a breaking strategy emerges, but I’m hoping that I won’t have to use that power.
Ties
In the event of a tie that takes the potential eliminated players over that number, I determine whether or not eliminating all tied players would eliminate 50% of all living players (rounded up). If not, I eliminate all tied players. If so, I only eliminate the players who were guessed more than the tied players, and increase the threshold to 75%; if this happens again, I increase the threshold further to 100%.
Examples of Tie Resolution:
-
Say there are 12 players. One is guessed 3 times, two are guessed 2 times, three are guessed 1 time, and everyone else is not guessed. 20% of 12, rounded up, is 3, so the first three players are eliminated, and the rest continue on.
-
Say there are 12 players. One is guessed 3 times, one is guessed 2 times, three are guessed 1 time, and everyone else is not guessed. 20% of 12, rounded up, is 3. If we also eliminate the three players who were guessed once, then we would be eliminating 5 players. However, since 5 players is less than 1/2 of all players in the game, we eliminate all five players. The rest continue on.
-
Say there are 12 players. One is guessed 3 times, one is guessed 2 times, six are guessed 1 time, and everyone else is not guessed. 20% of 12, rounded up, is 3. If we also eliminate the six players who were guessed once, then we would be eliminating 8 players. However, since 8 players is at least 1/2 of all players in the game, we only eliminate the first two players, and the rest continue on. For next time on, we raise the threshold to 3/4 of all players in the game.

Say there are 12 players, and we’ve already raised the threshold earlier in the game. One is guessed 3 times, one is guessed 2 times, six are guessed 1 time, and everyone else is not guessed. 20% of 12, rounded up, is 3. If we also eliminate the six players who were guessed once, then we would be eliminating 8 players. However, since 8 players is less than 3/4 of all players in the game, we eliminate all 8 players, and the rest continue on.

Other Rules
Starting Round 2:
The number of ALIASes you can guess a player to be in a round is capped at three. For example, you can’t guess every ALIAS to be the same person.
If you don’t get your ALIAS in before round start, I start with the assumption that you’ve been guessed correctly twice. If you don’t get it in by round end, then I assume that every living player has correctly guessed you.
