the last post is the summary. the “im picking vanilla on n3 until then i am picking chocolate.” line is what i am suspicious of attempting to sow chaos in town’s plans

1. every day we hold an unofficial vote for X players (X = # of living mafia + living cop + 1) to use chocolate mode. the remaining players choose vanilla mode and allow the cop to get a reliable peek on them

This sort of thing doesn’t usually work tbh. If the cop decides just them, then 100% of decision is town. If we all decide than only 75% of decsision is town. I back cop yoloing BUT we should just force 4 or 5 POE to go vanilla 100% for cop to check and then we all soft a green on one of the decided poe.

There are a lot of issues with this

1. Why is “only 75% of decision is town” a problem? All mafia games work like that when we decide the daily execution. How can the cop decide on their own way when they can’t speak? If everybody gets to willy nilly decide on their own to use chocolate that’s an excuse for wolves to not get red checked
2. You suggest “we” to force 5 Vanilla. How do “we” do that without including the mafia in the decision, something you just claimed that is bad and should be avoided? Our current plan forces 9 people to be vanilla. That is a bigger pool for the cop, its more likely to have wolves in it
3. Everybody softing a green outs the cop if the cop gets a red

I would urge you to not do this if you’re town, in case this is a joke. I think you are aware FoL suffers from lack of town wins. I think everyone agrees it would be good if we play well and win for once. And if you’re serious this is egregious. If people follow the plan the cop can get red checks. Because mafia is unable to be vanilla. If villagers who aren’t consensus town decide to not follow the plan and use chocolate they might get red checked by the cop and it’s entirely their fault. Thet could have gotten green checked instead. We dont need their chocolate mode, only 1 VT vote is enough to get protection, and 5 people guarantees it

Ill keep my vote for now. Hippo is a bit polarized in the sense that he messes around a ton more as mafia. But he has had town games where he went hard on and got in a lot of v/v conflict. Combinatorics is what Im thinking of, the first one. So this isnt damning for him is what im saying

Currently Hippo and Chomps. I think Chomp’s mindset as wolf here is clear, I wrote a post about that, and I think Hippo’s behavior is typical of his wet noodle wolf trolling behavior. In contrast to his fiery and assertive town mindset. Town Hippo is like Zone. Wolf Hippo is like Chomps

is what im referencing, the meta strat is basically just picking the coptarget by votes (in this case could be the CW) that if there isnt a copn out, it means town, if there is, means mafia). its kinda weird to use typ cop13er meta this game tho which is why it might actuially be semi viable but it still would require a secondary vote for who should theorectically be the check

Good question. Perhaps don’t claim red if not neopolitan because if you claim a red on a villager it’ll tell the wolves that you’re VT.

I can see Chomp’s behavior as town, and I can see it as wolf partner to Hippo. It would be out of desperation, wolves would be in a devastating spot. So in either case Hippo before Chomps makes sense to me

If you have two equal wagons and one wolf one town and the wolf decides to self vote and invite everyone to chop them that’s just never happening. Chomps expected to die there. I don’t believe he predicted that I would try to de-escalate. People get chopped over much less
