By the way I wanna point out so it doesn’t get lost for the future (probably not a D1 vote debate imo still) lol’s posts from here on out were literal wolf behavior
I also would like to point out how to me Vulgard looks like a desperate wolf who was having the attention start being put mainly on them and started spouting a lot of theorycrafted reads that seem to mainly attempt to shift the attention to other people while at the same time trying to inspire confidence in calling the easy townreads?
Opens with this then proceeds to contradict any sign of thinking they’re town, then what’s the point of that opener
That’s the first “I don’t trust this but maybe they’re trustable” hail mary hoping to look towny while potentially throwing shade on another player off of themselves
This is a second instance of exactly the same thing, though this argument is somewhat more reasonable than the previous one on their defense
Another line trying to just inspire trust and confidence from town
To be completely honest I can’t get my mind off the feeling that Vulgard was being slightly pressured since last night and they started suddenly ramping up their utility participation to try get the attention off of themselves onto whoever they’d see started getting traction, I really don’t like this slot
Im gonna ISO Kanave in a moment since that was the one reasonable argument I saw they made and Kanave was in commentary mode last time I saw so maybe that’s also worth considering
this feels disingenuous since zorvo was (imo) clearly talking about what you did with the time you had here
and this is lmfao
should people never attempt to solve slots normally if the option to mech them exists at all? like, if pressure on you results in solving you, zorvo can mech someone else, so why not?
this callout comes off as unprompted, idg why achro in particular when there are probably a ton of players still in wolf range
this seems like a question to which the answer obviously doesn’t matter
Not gonna quote the less-than-50 posts she has you can just ISO her if you wanna but Kana does look kind of so so, she was a lot more aggressive in the silent hill game right off the bat and she hasn’t had any particularly elaborated reads or relevant posts so far
I dedicated an entire post to explaining why my mind changed on that specific read. Can you please actually read my posts before wolfreading me for them?
No, it was just weird? Literally moments before, Zorvo was talking about resolving me mechanically, and then he hopped onto me. It felt strange. My mind has changed since then, but I really don’t understand what the problem is.
It’s relevant in that I would expect you to actually read my posts, instead of pushing me on a misframing of these posts, if you’re town.
No? ~6 people have voted me so far and I only took issue with two of them, one of whom I’m now calling a villager for how they reacted to my wolfread on them.
You’re factually wrong.
Show me where I came across as panicked.
That’s not what I said. I said that it was wolfy that you said my push on Zorvo was “because Zorvo followed up on his suspicion.” That’s not why I pushed Zorvo, and you should know this, assuming you actually did read the relevant posts.
This is idiotic, please do not do this. We are not establishing a chainyeet order in the middle of day 1 based on a flip that hasn’t even occurred yet.
I hate using this as an argument, but if you actually think this is a hit, then you’re being lazy. The gamestate really sucks, and it sucks largely because of the overfocus on my slot. Half the game has expressed a wolfread on me in some shape or form, and I severely doubt it’s just incorrect villagers doing this; there are most likely some wolves throwing suspicion into the mix, too. If you’re going to yeet me (I realize I’m saying this in the middle of day 1, but still) you’re going to get virtually no information from day 1 because it’ll all be comprised of people calling me a wolf and voting for me. Maybe you should assess slots other than me and then perhaps return to my wagon at EoD? If you do that, at least this day phase won’t be as worthless as it otherwise will.
I’ve already given my thoughts on people I have actual reads on. As for my wagon, I unfortunately think it’s mostly comprised of villagers at the moment, though that makes sense because wolves would love nothing more than to incite suspicion of me and then let the town do the rest. In my last wolfgame here (poor approximations of catgirls) we did exactly that on day 1 and there were like 5 villagers being wagoned without any of these wagons having a wolf majority.
I’d like to solve slots like Beancat, Bunny, etc., but as they continue not to post, it continues to be impossible. Pigeon’s three posts slightly lean villa, but just like with Phraze, I don’t have any solid reason to believe this.
I don’t particularly disagree with Jack on this, for reference:
I’d say these types of responses in of it themselves have more of a panic ring to them
My whole argument was that people started focusing on you and only then you did (as you mentioned in that quote) actually start doing reads with thorough explanations
That being said however, I am somewhat struggling to distinguish whether you’re a panicking wolf or an over-defensive town mainly because I agree with Jack that as a town:
But at the same time I can somewhat understand the reaction when you take into account the vote count (which by the way it’s a bit too high given that we still have over 10/15 hours to talk so im gonna take my vote off of Vulgard for now), im going to retract my full wolfread on you but i’ll still keep an eye because I do have a heavy lean still
@catbae when you’re around, could you please give all of this a look and give me your opinion on Vulgard? You’re one of my few hard town reads atm
Like I said, im only taking my vote off because I don’t know what count is hammer and 5 votes on you at once was a bit too high for comfort, but if it was lower i’d keep it on because im still not very convinced of you
erm. i feel like i’m gonna have to resort to obnoxious analogies if this keeps up.
zorvo can literally still mech resolve you before pressuring you as well as after. pressuring you doesn’t change that. pressuring does help potentially non-mechanically resolve you, though. what i’m asking is how you think pressuring you, and having a way to resolve you, are contradictory at all.
