According to the Marshal (not Marissa, sorry), King Litten needs protection. The Palace Watch are really, really incompetent, as evidenced by the fact that one of them is holding a mop instead of a spear right now.
Litten: Iāll host a gladiator battle to decide who my Honor Guard is! To the Patricianās Arena!
A week later, the crowd is massive at the Patriciansā Arena, which was chosen because it was already built. A host of Coastal and likewise murder-fans fill the place to the brim. Up in the Kingās box, the view is great!
Marshal: Welcome, one and all! King Litten has decided to choose the Honor Guard through the time-honored practice of gladiator combat! First into the arena, we have a participant who, though they may have not seen combat in years, still holds prowess and honor:
A Knight from the Eastern Order of the Drowned Rose!
