I think i might take another fol break soon. Im not really upset, i just wanna make some changes and this distracts me a lot. I had a hole in my heart lacking community and friends before fol. I found that now. I want more things now, other things :P

A little rearrange.

(- 3 (+/-) sqrt (-1 * (7 - 40i) ) ) / 4

(- 3 (+/-) sqrt (-1) * sqrt (7 - 40i) ) ) / 4

sqrt (-1) = i

(- 3 (+/-) (i * sqrt (7 - 40i) ) )/ 4

I don’t know what I wanted to do with it, probably it is possible to go further, but I haven’t used theoretical algebra almost in a decade.

Left semicircle radius: 2
Distance from left semicircle to bottom semicircle: 2 + X

a^2 + b^2 = c^2
2^2 + (4-X)^2 = (2+X)^2
X^2 -8X +20 = X^2 +4X +4
16 = 12X
X = 4/3

Shaded area = Area of quarter circle minus area of semicircles.

(1/4) π 4^2 - (1/2) π 2^2 - (1/2) π (4/3)^2
= 4π - 2π - (8/9)π
= (10/9)π
≈ 3.49…

balatro translation took an L

they decided to change the name of face cards to cartas da realeza (royal cards) and didn’t bother with the joke of jokers that play on the face aspect

they also didn’t do what i see good translations do where they update and add a few words that fit the new language much more instead of a straight translation, the only instance where this isn’t the case is with the club boss blind, where if they straight translated it would be a slang for dick

I vacuumed my whole apartament, washed the huge pile of dishes ive been procrastinating on, took out the garbage. I outside earlier for about 1-2 hours. This shit is exhausting man. This is what i have to do every day but god. Im exhausted

Degree of midpoint rightside is 135°
Degree of top right is 15°
Assuming the degree of unknown is X, then the degree of top left is “135° - X”, ergo “between 0° and 45°”

–okay, never mind. I now understand what the midpoint means. Left area should equal right area, I think.

Uh… sine rule, I guess? If bottom left line equals bottom right line (because that’s what “midpoint” means), then the angles are the same?

If that’s the case, then the degree of top left is also 15°, meaning that the degree of unknown is 120°.

Clothes nowadays don’t need ironing other than formal wear. Which most of us dont wear. I havent seen my mom use an iron in a decade. But i love ironing
