An explanation on that topic, since it’s been kinda a thing the past few years:

  1. I am deeply personally uncomfortable with hard campaigning to be a Champs rep because I don’t like the feeling that I’m implicitly “campaigning against” others by doing so, this isn’t a condemnation of other people campaigning, it’s just my personal realm of comfort/discomfort, I have different standards for myself than I do for other people because of my nature
  2. I do still actually want to go, my lack of visible passion here isn’t a lack of desire to be representative, I would’ve declined the nomination if I were unenthusiastic. I just don’t want to ask for it because I believe that if I deserve to go then people will vote to send me organically

Maybe this shows a lack of ability to showboat to get advanced and means I will not be an adequate Champs rep. If you believe this is the case then you should not vote for me. It’s everybody else’s call

champs is not really about showboating (maybe idk i got n1ed qualis with pretty bad reads and got advanced 1st place by players so something must’ve happened there (don’t ask about semis))

i don’t think showboating in games is actually demonstrably linked to advancement fwiw - haven’t researched, just an observation

not that advancement matters, champs has no merit as an evaluation of player skill (this was true before they turned it into a mickey mouse ring)

but yh understand your feelings there, didn’t want my cheeky little joke to be taken as any sort of serious influence though

I have already stated that I’m morally opposed to repping mickey mouse communities and Nintendo Loop already had somebody, uh… decide they were going and nobody challenged it so I also didn’t challenge it because I didn’t want to be the asshole going “um actually I’m fighting you for the nom” when 1. nobody else did that 2. they already believed sincerely they were going 3. I have another community I can run in
