Maybot's Combinatorics Mafia - GAME OVER, MAFIA WIN

Disagreements are a good thing, actually, since it provides an avenue for comparing thoughts. I’ve shared my perspective and I welcome contrary ideas.

Is this precisely one, or a minimum of one?

Lee doesnt seem frozen tbh, theyve actually only posted substance and no waffle and im pretty sure theyll waffle quite a bit more as mafia

I think definately more likely exactly 1

I mean it could be 2, given that if this is the team then mafia have no thread control at all as theyre all low posters. So my thread reads dont mean anything

Most of the early text feels either reactionary or pertains to the game’s formulaic strategy, sorta. Like when he questioned Ash’s Mafia claim, the only worthwhile exemption being his questioning of Badeline’s quotient (#335). Lee never pursued this; and when viewed with a contemporary lens, this being his only inquisition feels like it could be undue focus on either a partner or a suspected slot.

These votes followed the crowd and yet there was no particular reason, from what was perceived, for Lee to consider these slots town over any others. The quote itself is fine, but it does mean Lee was just following the wave again.

This argument was also just plainly awkward in relation to his “townslipped” comment, by implying it would’ve been intentional if he were evil when that’s not how knowledge works.

It doesn’t hurt to consider alternative outlooks, but it can hurt to be dissuaded from your reads if you’re already correct. Clever wording doesn’t matter if there’s no substance behind it, don’t worry.

but the townslip thing doesn’t exist in a vacuum kinda unlike how I’ve been treating it

if you get what I mean

You caught an early comment and latched onto it, with particular confidence since at that point in the game you’re statistically most likely to choose a villager if you have reasoning to support it. Your development makes sense to me.

What exactly do you expect to gain from shading somebody you clearly think is town, given you haven’t put them in your 2/3 votes?

I didn’t direct them, exactly. I was following along the wake of somebody else’s path.

Unintentionally disingenuous. It would be counterproductive to choose anyone from yesterday again because that doesn’t actually narrow the POE at all.

I could be deadsure Goose was evil and I still wouldn’t vote them. I’m questioning their reasoning because their alignment matters tomorrow when I likely acquise to your voting patterns, and I’ve also disagreed with their thoughts on numerous fronts.

That doesn’t make you trustworthy?

The wagons looked like this at the time I voted, there was a lot of drastic motion towards EOD.

It doesn’t make me intrinsically untrustworthy, showing that I’m at least not the most responsible for an inadvertent 1/3 train yesterday. That puts me on an equal pedestal as yourself.

Then I’m chasing 2/3 picks today, which is a superior gameplay strategy to effectively clarifying Anonygoose’s alignment on D2. This makes my technique trustworthy, which is what really matters.

Do you think I’m untrustworthy?

I suppose the wagon comp will speak for itself if it hits 1/3.
Not really vibing with how Prisma is seemingly being treated as effectively confscum while having posted once this entire day.
