@N.1 have u had any good onions recently
She has awoken
Why do you ask lol
cuz i remember u would eat them like applesā¦ .just wanna know how the onion grind is going
I donāt eat them like that anymore lol . . . Although on monday I had a couple of good tacos with raw shallot, garlic, avocado, and habaƱero peppers
My tolerance for spicy foods is much higher than it used to be though, and Iām much more of a thrill seeker in general also
Right now I have to decide whether to be a full-time manager at my job or go back to school for mechanical engineering. I just asked the school to defer my admission to August so I can try management before having to commit to either option for the long term.
I still suffer from insomnia but Iām much more in control of it than I once was and believe I have the perfect dosages down on my sleeping pills. I can sleep well daily relatively easily now, even though Iāve been working full time on overnight shifts (10p-6a) exclusively for quite a few months now.
Getting disability was an absurdly convoluted process that took me two years, three appeals, and a court hearing, but I was able to leverage it to skip the multiyear line for section 8 and get 75% off a great lakeshore apartment which Iāve been in since May. I then went off disability and started working full-time but got to keep section 8, medicare, and a disability permit that gives me half price on the train for the next four years. So I kind of gimmicked the system.
Iām going to be trained on how to run all three shifts though which is exciting. Iām still on overnights for the next couple weeks but then Iām on mornings the week after my birthday and then I think theyāll put me on evenings the week after that.
Just signed up for dental and vision insurance which is nice
Even with how busy I am, virtuous 4 is so tempting lol
Vulgard doesnāt frequent these parts anymore does he. Virtuous is a bit more his baby than mine
Quite the interesting plot thus far into somebodyās life story
The only other way in which Iāve changed majorly since I was active here previously is that Iāve become a devout fan of a JRPG series called Trails. If I ever did make another SFM, it would be based on that (probably Trails of Cold Steel). This interest made me best friends with my second cousin who I now hang out with kind of regularly.
I also read a lot of grimdark novels. I didnāt start reading for fun again until around 18 months ago.
My favorites are probably Prince of Thorns by Mark Lawrence, Blackwing by Ed McDonald, The Grim Company by Luke Scull, and Beyond Redemption by Michael R. Fletcher. Mark Lawrenceās newest book, The Book That Wouldnāt Burn, is not grimdark but is now my #1 favorite novel. Itās about a mystical, possibly infinitely large library. Currently reading a book called Priest of Bones by Peter McLean about a corrupt priest that leads a band of crooks.
hello fossil.1
Iāll eat one like an apple tonight and give u my reaction
Last update from me in this thread:
I used to have a role at my job that was inordinately more physically perilous than my new role. I suffered immense hardship physically and I probably have chronic back pain if nothing else.
But after coming out of physical therapy and finally strengthening my knees through long-distance running, I feel like a warrior who can endure anything physically as well as mentally.
From the time I left here, I now feel immensely stronger (with much better endurance also), more frugal, better at time management, better at dieting, better at maintaining good mental health all on my own, and better with social interactions, among other things.
Iām here again not because Iām in need of friends but just because I wanted to repair burnt bridges if there were any. A couple months ago, I spoke to my sister and my dad for the first time in over three years.
However, now it seems to me that most if not all people have fond memories of me (and I didnāt burn any bridges when I left), so perhaps I should restart a hiatus from this place so Iām not tempted to check it while on the clock or otherwise occupied.
