For your info, its this.

10 pm. Doable.

Hmm

Hmmm… Actually. Maybe?

That is weirdly doable.

With setting up that you can only be lynched at own EoD (which is logical) and 24/24 phases.
It should even work for all roleblockers etc. if designed smartly.

That… works.

Pretty sure this is impossible unless you run the game asynchronous somehow, which… defeats the purpose or identity of the game since the order of operations run synchronously?
–if I’m wrong, then you’d be making something mind-blowing like Quantum FM.

If it does run async though, then everyone would have the flips be written in their private / role PMs while public thread is basically lagging behind the most. …NGL, sounds horrible IMO.

No.

Just same rules as always - you die if you are majority on EoD (YOUR eod) and one lynch daily.
That’s weirdly enough to keep it working.

Terrible game for host cause there is something going on every hour. But it’s not hard designwise.

my funny haha idea would probably work best if eod if
A: timezones are sent to host beforehand
B: flip happens after the last timezone hits eod

its still, absolutely, a funny haha idea that probably shouldn’t be done

Actions are pretty much same as in normal game as well:

A person is target of an action if the are targeted BEFORE SoD (theirs SoD) and you can only target one person each night.

That’s all.
Pretty much those rules are obvious in normal game. But if you keep them for everyone has own timezone one… it basically makes the game work as normal.

Meaning you keep same game as usual, with emphesazis on keeping this rules as they are in normal game and you got a working game.

Just don’t change those rules.

Nah, flip happens if person is majority on EoD.

Just like it normally does.

okay but what is eod now

EoD for each player is different.

Meaning that if they are majority on THEIRS EoD (ergo before they go to sleep), they die.
Like in normal game.

osie tried running something similar to this in their last bastard game and it did not work whatsoever

players had different phase lengths and there were a number of roles which just straight up didn’t work with the mechanic and you could also angleshoot a ton of shit from it

that said, the game was a mess because of a number of reasons, so if you were going to make a game based on this concept such that the whole game and roles revolved around it then i think it would probably be less spectacularly bad

It’s terrible game to host for host.
It’s tiring for players, forcing them to keep track who is available when.

It’s not a good idea. But it’s surprisingly simple to make it work.

… what if majority changes between eods
do they all die

That’s just… weird? In a 24/24 Day 1, you’d have people who are at night phase because they are ahead of you, and people who are in pre-game because you are ahead of them.

If you play Maj-only and all players count towards maj, then you never die at day phase.

Meanwhile, if someone [ahead] dies and their death gets announced, then a Doctor who is [behind] could -if I understand this correctly- just undo their death.

…eevee, why do I suddenly remember Weaver from DotA?

No, as I said, keep normal rules.
One lynch daily. That’s it.

Stop trying to complicate things.

jesus christ you got aggressive easily over a joke suggestion

No, they couldn’t.

Actions on players resolve when they swap phases. Just like in normal game.

Think like this - phase swaps. Killer targeted you, you die.
Different game - phase swaps. Killer and doctor targeted you. You survive.

That’s it.

You are overcomplicating it too.

Can’t you POE people in that case?
If the setup is 4v1 with one Doc w. self-heal, and 3 people [ahead] are alive when the Doctor has not done anything yet, then there are only two possibilities:

  1. Other person is mafia and has yet to kill.
  2. The mafia’s target is either Doc or other person.
