I’m confused on how you thought your case actually had merit in the first place. It wasn’t really strong to begin with, and I thought you realized this when I pointed out part of your case being flawed as you stopped voting me.

I’m getting mixed signals… some people say it did have merit, others say it did not, and both sides are somehow questioning the way I handled it. I’m not sure what I’m expected to have done there.

I’m on break now so I’m going to go delve into why I think Julliet is town, mainly for my sake because I wrote that Juliet’s was town, but I didn’t really think much of it - I thought they were town without really thinking about why, which is what I need to figure out now as to why I thought they were town.

I believe the reason I thought they were town is because of how they have acted in the thread so far, and how the thread has acted around them. When I read their posts I don’t really feel any agenda in them, I see a sense of curiosity in their posts that is indicative of them not having too much information. Feels like they are trying to understand other people instead of trying to 1-up them or dunk on them.

When I write this out, it doesn’t feel like a lot, but I like the reasoning as for why I believe that I think they are town. Something to note for others is that I lean a direction on a player before I actually think about why I believe that - I then proceed to think about why I believe that, and ask myself whether or not I am believing it for a good reason. I am reasonably confident based around how they are acting that they are just a competitor.

Mmm, I like this post. Estelle might be a competitor here.

But regardless of conviction, what about Estelle’s post made you change their mind? Their reply seemed to have very little to do with what you were voting them for.

Like I’m not saying in that quote “oh, you seem completely convinced”, my issue is that if that reply was enough to push you off it, it seems to be a read you had no belief in in the first place.

That’s where you’re mistaken. I can have belief and still reconsider when my point is countered.

Hmm… if I trust my allies, I have a towncore of Atlas, Drekar, Juliette, and Luna. I personally believe that Estelle, Juno, and X are town. I think Kai’s posts have been reasonably towny, although I lack a good reason for saying that (and I am admittedly biased by him defending me). This leaves me with Ai.Mi, Dubu (who I believe could go either way), and Rune.

I think a wolf would push her in this thread state because you can read her posts and make up reasons on a surface level that she’s a wolf. But there’s enough micro tells that reveal she’s a competitor

So there’s a wolf in Rune/Drek/ai. I’m inclined to think Drek is a competitor at the moment so the lunch should be in Rune/ai

Ah. Don’t worry, unlike other people in the game, I have also started to be concerned about how confident I am that you are town. Though, I will admit, I did not take you for the type of person to deny being “masons” with someone d1, even if you aren’t that confident whether the person you are masoning with is town. Two heads are better than one after all.

Not really - they haven’t pushed me that hard to begin with. I will wait to see how they handle re-evaluating me though, as they claimed they would do so, so I’ll wait patiently to see what they say with regards to that.

Do you usually let other people in the game decide whether your arguments have merit.

This is an anonymous game, so different levels of skill are expected among other people. I think it’s fair to judge how experienced a player is at the game by judging the manner they are playing - and whether a degree of caution is necessary. Atlas play this game has made me re-evaluate my lazy town read on them - I’m not clearing that slot until he shows me a wolf head that they caught with their bare hands. I expect others to do the same.

Atlas and Era seem fine.

Estelle is probably very inexperienced since she claims to believe that what Atlas has posted so far makes him good at mafia to the point where he must produce a pelt to earn her trust. I don’t think it is a fake sentiment regardless of alignment but I do think it is something a relatively new player says 95% of the time.

This makes my scumread on her stronger of course.

I’m not allowed to prove it because of the identity hiding rules, but I actually have a quirk where I vomit all over my computer whenever I rand mafia like Marta in Knives Out. Me being able to make more than two or three posts in a row is clearing because it means my keyboard is functioning properly.
