Break is almost over, so I’ll be back around lunch.
Like I’m not saying in that quote “oh, you seem completely convinced”, my issue is that if that reply was enough to push you off it, it seems to be a read you had no belief in in the first place.
Which means you were just kind of putting it in thread because you felt obligated to do so. Which is my issue.
To wit, it was much ado about nothing.
Every bit I read of their “Catch up” seemed to be more built around echoing sentiments of the thread and did not feel like it had one iota of original thought but instead five paragraphs of over-explanation to “make sense” why it reached exactly the same consensus as everyone else had already reached.
It is a saboteur-tell I have often seen over the time I’ve played mafia, the ‘over-explanation’, due to saboteurs feeling self-conscious about their reads and trying to make them feel like real reads.
It is also exactly the set of posts I would expect a saboteur to make if the thread consensus was targeting two legitimate competitors.
Estelle’s posts are… okay. Nothing that I am considering intensely towny but I do see the neurons firing. I am willing to play the game of cat and mouse and see how long those self-same neurons fire.
For now I’ll instead put my mind towards:
VOTE: Ai.Mi
Kai’s arrival was also somewhat okay, but again did nothing I found particularly thought-provoking in a way that made me believe he was a legitimate competitor. I am concerned that mayhaps his ambition is causing him to consider actions otherwise abhorrent to maintain his father’s approval.
But having said that, I would instead ask Juno to provide more than childish finger-pointing. Friend of my sister or not, I will not bias my process to your emotive accusations.
I will also accept Era as a suspect but have not yet been swayed by arguments that seduce my mind until I follow their every letter. I am of a bias towards finding her town, however, I accept that uniquely Era is in precisely the position that I could see myself blind to.
I will re-consider the position later, pending further discussion.
Unfair, fair, whatever. Sometimes dumb reads like that are the most accurate.
I guess what I would like to see, then, is a little more towncasing of folks in thread if you feel everyone is very towny. It felt like that that was an excuse for not scumreading anyone.
Ok, that makes more sense. I thought you were referring to organizing time.
Generally speaking, I am also against reveals.
I will not accept Drek’ar as a suspicion though. The man is violent and prefers fighting to talk, but I have seen him do things that no saboteur would generally do, and I strongly believe in my process. If you would like to pitch it to me, you have to make sure that case is airtight. You need to bring me a vessel of suspicions.
And when I try to break that vessel of suspicions over my knee, I have to find it so airtight that it hurts my knee instead. I have to find it so airtight that even Era’s sighs at Kai not noticing her can’t find a way in.
For the record I agree with this after consideration. The votes and time used should be organised, but we should look to avoid broadcasting power usage.
Oh
Hey Atlas, I know you wanted to take my mason away fro. Me, but how about we be masons for today instead?
All I can say is that I was making thoughts as I caught up, and decided to put them in thread regardless of if they occasionally rambled or whatever because I can only talk so much this game. That’s what’s there, take it or leave it.
(FTR lunch is in a hour I’m just posting in the middle of tasks)
I appreciate that they are there, do not mistake me. Every little scrap of thought is either useful now or useful later when I review how people have progressed through the game.
I consider myself decent at finding saboteurs in the beginning, but I certainly find it even easier once I get to look back upon the trails left behind and follow each meandering thought to its destination. I also find it easier when I am able to engage strongly with players about their thoughts and follow through the consideration until I find how their thoughts feel.
So in the assumption you are town:
Talk to me about Kai and Juno? And perhaps even our friend-shaped hamster compatriot. Those are the three I’m muddling over and would appreciate discussion and insight into right now.
Mmm. I am not so confident in this thought as to veto a possible retraction of it later in the day, so unfortunately I shall have to decline.
I will still take your mason partner though.
I’m about to head out.
I’ll be back later. When I’m back we should start a discussion on where to consolidate. I will accept if consensus heads differently to the wagon I would prefer hammered at that point, however, I am not so egotistic as to force the hand, as it were.
Do not have much more time to get into it as I have to go, but my initial impression is that both Kai and Juno are trying to occupy a similar thread space, with Juno feeling more effortless in doing so than Kai.
wat?
how are we similar at all lol i don’t think we could be playing more different games
you don’t see the agenda in juliette pushing you (who you yourself said would be pushed by wolves cause of your role)?
like if you are a villager and juliette is a wolf i think their agenda i p clear
fwiw i got kinda pinged by juliette push on Rune cause like rune missing the context is not ai imo. wolves will super rarely purposefully misinterpret the context so blatantly, its more likely just a genuine mistake regardless of alingment but juliette spun it as a wolf read
my guts tell me estelle/juliette has exactly 1 wolf and rest of high posters are villa
also i won’t be very active until weekend and i have weird times that i am able to be online at so if you somehow decide to lunch me plz wait for me to be back (i’ll never completely afk for too long) cause i am fairly confident i can clear myself
