funny thing is i actually had similar concerns as tutuu about Chloe - the intro bit about “oh i have a read but i’m not gonna say it just yet” felt a bit performative and it’s something i’ve leaned on as mafi, even though i agree wth marluna being town the reasoning for it did not resonate with me (the stuff about her being carefree). vote on ash4fun felt a bit over-reactive. but that’s kind of early game stuff and my inclination was to give her space anyway because if i push her and it’s wrong it’s a big waste of time when my attention could be elsewhere. i think the response to tutuu is fine so i will continue to let her do her thing

Although I can’t confirm the reasons are the same (it was double-digits of hours ago, nyehh), this pretty well summarizes my attitude toward chloe atm. I like what I’m reading of catbae so far, also not self-conscious enough to avoid 9 posts in a row is >rand town to me

Your reactions wrt people claiming reads like mafia who don’t want them to get towned so easily as it makes the circle smaller (which is why I said I agree massclaiming is lame). If my memory serves me right, you also believed Leafia’s claim, sussed it when tutuu did, then believed it when tutuu did. I think you released TMI on tutuu as well, since you talked to him on many posts with the assumption that he’s town, then cleared it up later saying you think he’s town as an add-on to the main thing that you were saying

I mean, my priority is to just mess around on D1, and I’ve been trying to get a presentation done for tomorrow, so I haven’t really engaged with the game enough.
I enjoy bouncing off of Ash and Tutuu, but I don’t think those are reads in and of themselves.

I got the feeling that bystander was being sincere and was shocked at my method of trying to read Chloe. I don’t think her reaction was uncharacteristic given the way she talked in Baldur’s Gate 3 and Don’t Starve Anonymous. In both of those games she clashed plenty with people over playstyles

Appreciate this. I’m not sure I agree atm (I have no personal meta on them), but if you still think so (and are town) in a few days I could probably be convinced.

experience ig, and also reading? idk how many games you’ve played. But in any case, I’ve found it’s easier to have (probably wrong) reads and adjust them D1 than waiting until later.

I’m competitive, and it’s why I often death-tunnel people later into the game (see Ritual Mafia as one of the worst examples). I’m not surprised people are trying to make reads early on; I’m just surprised at how fast people will go, “Here’s my reads list of every single person in the game and what I think their alignment is.”
