ik you’re already locktown but ftr this is so towny
I also had a similar concern of bystander
She posted this post a few posts below mine. I was concerned at the time that she was just playing off of me. As in, saw that defense and latched onto it, specifically the part about baldur’s gate. Like her post is a short summary of mine. I’m not sure if I’m explaining myself properly. I found it suspicious like a wolf looking for an opportunity to defend herself by using a villager’s reasoning. But I didn’t voice it because I was considering that I’m placing too much importance on myself. But maybe it’s a potential thing that happened
(oh good, more reasons to confbias myself on bystander)
Chloe
Leafia

apologies if you already have, but could you explain to me your tr on leafia? ik you townread her, but I don’t understand why she’s more than null
I have in my notes a few non w/w reads
Chloe and Hazard not w/w and Eaves and Bystander not w/w due to both of their engagements heating up a little at times in ways that felt real to me. Hard to fake in my opinion
I also have Eaves and Frostwolf not w/w but I don’t remember why. I should have written an explanation
She is usually way more agressive as a wolf. (I could have been only with Achro, but that’s her mafia game I remember the most.)
Also she is right about on claiming her role as mafia would be a wrong thing to do. (If she knew that vanillized players can be guessed as VT.)
Leafia’s choice of playstyle as town is to immediately claim her role in every single game. She did it in the one Blood on the Clocktower game I played with her too (Mafia-adjacent game), as town. Claimed a very important role and got killed immediately by the evils
She has done it as town. Now as mafia she claims she hasn’t. I’ve only seen her mafia once I believe, almost a year ago. I don’t quite remember what happened.
Off of memory a few people sort of agree with her that it’s towny for her, from past games.
This by itself isn’t that strong
I think her posts themselves are fine. Nothing unusual for town Leafia
For me the biggest reason to townread her was my read on the setup design, so on the host you could say. Leafia’s role makes perfect sense to me as a way to combat the mafia anti-claim. Mafia can and will attempt to anti-claim every single town player, and they will do that every single night. A few town players will die along the way, but the mafia will still drain a bunch of points from the living town players towards those vig shots. Leafia’s role, to my understanding, changes the roles of people from a “some power role” to Vanilla Town. I think that the gameplay interaction Zone_Q11 intended when designing this was - give this role to Town, allow Town to transform their roles at times, disallow Mafia to drain points off of them. Allow town to eventually claim their prior roles without fear of anti-claim, because they are a new role now. Introduce some mind games. It feels like a tool
Leafia’s argument about claiming it also seems sound to me. She suggested that if she was Mafia she could have just not said anything. If a town gets vannilized, they are likely to claim. They shouldn’t, but it’s not an unnatural assumption to think a Mafia targeted them and vannilized them. If so, it’s not an unlikely assumption for that town to decide to claim they are VT anyway, because they’d think Mafia already knows they’re VT coz they targeted them vannilized them. So that just gives more anti-claim points, Mafia could just anti-claim as VT without saying a word, Leafia included. So in my mind Leafia’s role is a town role tasked with like a little risk-reward mini-game - she could reduce mafia point generation, but she also had to warn the townies about it
I meant it doesn’t make me think you’re a villager basically because I find ot wolfy and couldn’t sleep.
I keep wanting to read Eaves as Eevee for some reason. Probably since Eevee has a very similar name to Eaves.
Me too.
I am an actual Leafeon.
We won’t know if our role is correctly guessed by a wolf.
That sort of stuff isn’t AI you know.
Thank you, I think this combined with leafia’s posts since then are good enough for me to put her in mid-lime tier then
Unfortunately it’s late and I’d love to continue, but that (and the poe isos I wanted to do) will have to wait until tomorrow. See y’all then!
Now back to bed I go, so you can resume posting now. Good night everyone.
Good night
Catbae you didnt do anything, i am ok honestly i just needed to take a step away from everything and recollect myself. i repeat you didnt do anything
imma find his wolf game (TOS 3) i was with him in. cause i swear he wasnt silent on day 1 in that game
i think i am gonna just restart myself and just re read everything without getting pressurised under the collar later on lol.
But right now so i am doing something useful imma find that frost wolf game
I don’t think that gauging the amount of points they have is too useful. Once they acquire 6 points we will know by eating a bullet to the face. I think the optimal spendage for the Mafia is to just spend them all immediately barring some niche circumstances where they wanna holster one and surprise us or something. So I would vouch for keeping quiet about entering Paradoxes. As you suggested if we don’t keep quiet they might pick up on what our roles are
second highest poster and on the evil team @tutuu from my quick breeze through day 1 he seemed to be active. not over active but still active.
Sure, I will agree that low post count isn’t suspicious for him
however i will agree he is still polarised lol.
Yeah. I think his bravado is significantly different. I could be conf biasing but in this game I felt like he’s playing it up. It felt a bit theatrical to me. It felt like bravado for the sake of bravado. As opposed to say - a town frostwolf giving his reads, not being listened to, and then biting because he’s not being listened to
from reading his posts this game. he isn’t necessarily hard defending himself? if that makes sense like hold on i can find some examples
like thats all he really had to say to tutuu’s accusation
oh and this but he never really continued this though
