peopleās minds change like 300 times a day about all sorts of random stuff
whatās outlandish about rereading something in mafia and just outright not agreeing w your past self?
In case they are both town - Frog is way more likely to be poisoned, due to sheer thread volume they had.
If Kiiruma dies first - only then I would start thinking about them.
Iām fine joining this for now. Wind felt way too aloof about wagons yesterday. This vote still operates from a āBrad is townā world. Thatād mean that main wagons would be me/Frog/Eli/Brad. From my PoV thatād be T/(person that is poisoned, so they can be resolved)/T/T. Wind felt like a sideliner to me despite being quite active and traditionally a leader like figure.
Ok so what I want to do here is go through Bradās ISO and read all of his posts with the assumption heās town because I think all Iāve done so far today is read his posts as coming from scum. Also did that quite a bit yesterday, except on a couple posts.
Iām just thinking if thereās any chance Iām getting into a confbias on his slot, this is probably a good way to rule it out. Once Iām done Iāll take a step back and see whether town!Brad seems like itās a plausible world.
If any of my comments seem forced here then they probably are, since Iām trying to see where the limit to Bradās towniness is.
A villager says this if they donāt feel particularly stressed in the thread, they intend to contribute, but donāt feel pressured to produce content; a wolf feels pressured to look productive and goes immediately into solving, which can result in forced reads.
Brad says Gorta looks out of place and everyone else looks fine
Heās not going straight for pushing Gorta just yet
Wishful thinking
I canāt say itās the most effective method Iāve ever seen, but Iāve seen it come from town!Brad many times before
He just falls into wolvesā pockets easily because he wants to believe theyāre town by default, and waits to see if something changes his mind, rather than assuming theyāre scum and waiting for something towny to happen; itās a playstyle thing
Iāve seen him die as obvtown leaving a legacy of a wolf or two in his towncore, so if heās town in this game thereās very likely a wolf already trying to pocket him
Bradās read on Gorta isnāt a flat-out āthis is a wolfā
it can be a vote based on the suspicion that Gorta is trying to make something scummy out of the joke post
I still disagree with that take since Gorta said he didnāt know it was a joke, but Brad isnāt pushing Gorta so much as pressuring him at this point
This was in response to Eli saying that Worst, Brad and Solic all have stinky votes on Gorta
Brad doesnāt have super solid reasoning on Gorta but it checks out
This response is why I think Brad jumped on Eli too fast for that interaction
If I assume Brad is town for what is essentially a snap OMGUS on Eli, then this is an impulsive villager reaction because he saw something he didnāt think lined up and now heās decided itās probably TMI (spoiler: it wasnāt)
First part of this is asking Eli why heās defending Gorta, which I also asked
The other part is explaining to me why heās voting Eli, because I asked
At some point I realized I was misinterpreting what Eliās dislike of the Gorta wagon was for, and then I agreed with him instead
Bradās assumption here is that Eli is chainsaw defending Gorta but also has TMI that Gorta is town
(My question here would be, why would wolf!Eli want to disband a wagon on a villager anyway? For towncred?)
This explanation is pretty sound; I didnāt read Risky Light Game but I heard about Leafia getting piled on early in the game and then getting ignored for the rest of it, so it makes sense that town!Brad doesnāt want a repeat of that
The one thing that still doesnāt fit is why he thinks Eli is scum defending Gorta as possible scum, but also thinks Eli has TMI that Gorta is town
We now know that wasnāt the case, at least for Eli, but Iām still trying to figure out how town!Brad reaches this conclusion, because his response here indicates that he still thinks Gorta is scum and therefore doesnāt really believe Eli has TMI that Gorta is town
Brad townreading people this early in the game for being friendly/interactive and wanting them to be town is not really that suspicious
@BradLand I think I may have already asked you this, but when you said thereās 1 in Gorta/Eli, did you mean exactly 1, or did you mean at least 1?
Also where did that Solic read go? I donāt remember seeing Brad comment much on Solic after that, other than a post or two following up after this one.
Decent point on Solic, I liked that too
Trochi I questioned him about iirc and his response is somewhere farther down in his ISO
This is a towny post
Brad questioning whether heās being read for his own posts or how heās interacting is a good look
Iāve noticed so far while going through his ISO (Iām only a third of the way through, RIP me) that his posts so far hold up fairly well to individual scrutiny, better than I thought they did earlier
I mightāve gotten too hung up on the Eli vote and just went through the entirety of D1 thinking that was a sign heās scum and never really looked at him properly again
This defense makes sense
He gave his reads and he defended them when asked
Other than the confusing part about whether he did or didnāt believe Eli had TMI, he seems to want to believe his other reads
I think he believes at least a few of them
Back to this again, hard defending one of the biggest flaws he could possibly have in his reads by allowing wolves to possibly infiltrate his towncore
Itās not good, itās not that logical, but itās also a weird thing for a wolf to say when they could just come up with better reasons than āI want my friends to be town with meā. Seems childish, like a kid who wants something and doesnāt know how to make it happen except by repeating they want it.
I donāt think scum would be so upset about not being allowed to townread someone for completely mundane reasons because theyād already know the reasons were bad and they would want to look for a more solid defense.
(Iām not gonna quote everything from this interaction with 2wolves because I donāt think the hotheaded stuff is worth commenting on)
I can buy this reasoning
Good players are highly valuable as town and sometimes even valuable as wolves, as long as they donāt reach the point where theyāll never be voted out (and considering this is mountainous, there wonāt be mechlocks so Iām not really concerned)
For the same reason I donāt like to immediately yeet strong players even if I suspect early on that they could be wolfing; itās better to wait a day or two and see if they just self-resolve instead.
Brad adds Marl as a townread here
I think he gave reasoning somewhere later in the day but Iām still looking
Sounds kinda like Brad is wolfreading Gorta just for lack of towny things here which isā¦ idk
it could be confbias if heās convinced himself that Gorta is the strongest scumread he currently has due to interactions, it could just be a lazy read where he doesnāt want to bother to look more into Gorta (tbf I donāt think Gorta had really done anything else at the time of this post), idk
On the other hand it doesnāt sound like Brad has committed to hard pushing Gorta here, so I donāt know if it would qualify as an agenda push either, in wolf!Brad worlds
Itās just kinda like his read is there, it exists, but whatever
Asking Trochi to lead is interesting
I donāt think Brad really followed up on this much
Unusual for this post to come from scum, not impossible, but pretty bold if it does
Last time I saw Brad wolf he just sort of collapsed immediately on D1 and his wolfgame was very underwhelming, so I bussed him even though he was by far our strongest PR
He didnāt really have any fire to his posts, I donāt recall him really pushing anyone or even giving memorable reads, and when pressured he just disappeared
Tbf I think it was his first game on this site or something, so that couldāve been related
I think Iāve heard the exact opposite of this reasoning - that wolves are more likely to question townreads on them - but I think this logic is ~fine
I donāt remember what happened with the followup here, honestly
Lol
Does this ever come from a wolf? What purpose does it serve, other than being facetious? which I donāt think benefits a wolf, either, because itās just dumb in that case
he did give an example of a post he thought was towny, and I agree with the early solving aggression take
this read looks ok
Stuff on Solic matches with Bradās townread on him
Maybe itās a little concerning he basically offered to sheep Trochi but the only comment he gave here was a wowee
looks like a weak reason to townread Marl
gonna think on that for a bit longer
This explanation made sense in response to Frog
Brad questioning why Frog is scumreading one of his townreads
Frog responded, but I donāt think Brad commented on it again after that
hmm
Also I just lost my place in Bradās ISO cause I jumped out of it briefly to look at the response chain but Iām about halfway through his ISO, like 70 posts or something
I gotta stop for now and wonāt be back on my laptop to finish the ISO till at least tomorrow irl, since Iām doing stuff with friends for the rest of the day/night, but Iād like to pick up where I left off
Thoughts so far are that Brad looks better than I thought he did, and I can see posts where he believes what heās saying
Itās mainly just his read on Eli and maybe some of his followup on certain posts that are making me wary, but I feel a bit better about his slot so I want to rethink things before placing my vote today
