@Magnus Is there any more information on the Guava greencheck that you can give us?

Nuto’s reasoning for all of their townreads (save one) is dependent on vibes. He’s correct in saying that calmer players are more often than not aligned with the town, but actually this post is the reason why I think it’s Nuto and Hazard. The first three reads are generally kept loose, asking for his read on Zenon to be “taken with a grain of salt”, having “never seen [me] as a wolf” (which as stated prior is technically correct but in practice false given our experience in social deduction together), and how he doesn’t “know much about this pineapple thing”. The Gourmet Guy scumread here intrigues me because it turned out to be correct, and Nuto’s reasoning (that nobody really talked about them) is also weird because Leafia was the initial person to learn about this role, and Nuto didn’t acknowledge Leafia’s coven mention afterwards either (#1578). Considering that we know now that Leafia exposed Gourmet Guy’s alignment, this feels like a necessitated read for him to make.

As for Hazard, Nuto goes in another direction. The same obligatory “maybe they’re very good at playing it cool” is there, but Nuto firmly adds “but [they’d] like to think they’re good.“

In our neighbourhood.
I’ll link it for you.

Damn you’re even convincing me.

I do think I’ve outlived my usefulness as a townie though, so if there’s a ton of heat on me I don’t mind taking a fall.

I’m just gonna read through all this Raph statements and see if I can piece something together, logic vs vibes.

Sure, because it isn’t intuitive from my flip and it’s pretty important. I borrowed a power that included at least an alignment cop and rolecard modification that I used to peek Guava’s role.

@Magnus When you, Gorta, and min say that Gorta’s opening post here sounds similar to the discussion in the Casino:

How similar are we talking? Do you think it was definitely written by someone in the neighbourhood, or is it just a passing resemblance? How much have you discussed this?

oh, I think I ignored it because you said leave it for later

it was so similar that when I first saw it I accused everyone in my hood

Gorta and Min have discussed it more than I have, because they were online nearer to daystart than I was. I don’t think Gorta thought Zenon was necessarily town at the time until we talked it through, we didn’t much discuss Jaiden’s slot either, we didn’t talk much about yourself or CRichard that night from what I can remember? If we did, it was to surely say you were both good. “Might still be evil” positions you both as townreads with an asterisk though, so that lines up.

Hazard and Min explanation feels copied, but the conclusion on the latter was dropped to a tentative townread at the time. It’s close enough.

You said the same thing in Popcorny, right?
Did you say anything like that in Nightmare or XVII from what you can remember?

So the YBW lines give Nuto plausible deniability to make a push on a villager that was being relatively active at the time without taking a fall, being able to blame the dead person. When Jaiden starts to garner more towncred later in the day, Nuto could’ve killed her in order to resolve any unpleasant business like having to awkwardly drop the read or see it through, either of which he might not have felt comfortable risking with two teammates dead.

“Neighbourhood biased” of course everyone’s gonna be neighbourhood biased they have more time to read the people in the neighbourhood and figure out their alignments

Also our neighbourhood had two people die immediately so now we have to stick together
