I asked Gorta if he received anything n0 or n1 as a bait and he didn’t admit to the Navidson Report.
Me when I overestimate town’s ability to double think everything to my benefit.
I remembered my submitted role, I just didn’t intend for the check on your target to reveal alignment when I made it, so I didn’t think of the idea of it being a manner of gaining an investigative.
I knew you’d written the message Gorta had sent, I knew you were claiming to have used your ability on Guava, I just didn’t put together how it could have possibly been a greencheck, especially since it seemed like you targeted Gorta with the merged ability, seeing as you’d obviously written the message he sent at SoD.
Oh. The hosts interpreted “full role” as a “fullcop”.
I didn’t even put the Navidson Record down as an individual ability when I made the rolecard. Didn’t think of it as something that could be copied in the first place, let alone something that could be copied to be a hard greencheck. That’s why I kept going “oh but are you sure this is a green, are you sure”, because I thought you were claiming that somehow Guava having a given set of abilities that you’d copied cleared them. Also, I didn’t believe that the hosts would give you a free cop check anyway.
The story I was going with was this: I targeted Guava and gained a n0 ability, because it wasn’t an absolutely infinite ability. I used this on Guava, and sent that message. However, because Gorta was the actual host of Guava’s ability, he received the message instead.
Mech drives you insane sometimes so I expected you to overthink it and reach this conclusion. Not immediately, not when I wrote the message, but when I claimed the greencheck and started dropping hints about where it came from.
Because it was a n0 ability, I had to use it immediately, which is how I used two abilities seemingly in the same night, etcetera.
So I didn’t consider this because I designed and formatted my rolecard properly, so it didn’t occur to me that you wouldn’t have done the same and wouldn’t have realised it.
See, this game, I abided by my ban on mechanical speculation. I simply decided the exact mechanics of your green were none of my business, and just… zoomed out, looked at the context in which it was claimed, my social reads on both of you, that kind of thing. Honestly, a massive success in improvement of my treatment of mech. I definitely would’ve gotten stuck on that in the past.
I thought you understood that I copied your role. I was softing it after all.
I completely missed that message you’ve quoted.
I was sorely tempted to say house randomly in the wrong colour but I didn’t.
You liked it.
You’d be surprised how easily something I technically read can completely slip through my head. Not that I even read all the messages that I like. I’m a regular Eliza.
Garfooled softed writing my role so obviously but I didn’t really pick up on the Jon gif until after their flip. Yet I knew where all the others came from because you aren’t all super subtle.
As in the other scumchat roles.
Anyway, yeah, I did get that you’d copied from Guava, just not how exactly that led to having a rolecop. I think I was partially confusing your role with the other copier that merged two sets of abilities? I dunno. Again, I didn’t think the exact mechanics through, and I think that was a wise choice. They didn’t matter.
Huh. I overestimated your reading comprehension.
…Perhaps I was showing too much TMI this game, but it’s fine. The 1600s joke was funny.
The mechanics mattered because while they completely failed to support me, the interpretation of the roles that I was pushing supported my claim if you squinted really hard.
Because lying is fine.
I’m not sorry.
