i was the day 1 misyeet
that was the “experiment” i kept alluding to but never explained
that game i never gave reads unless i actually believed in them and i turned out still having bad reads (lol) but also being questioned for the entire day because i gave close to 0 real content
this is the ultimate plight of vulgard

and, again, i decided to use a purely evidence-based approach in the f3 i referenced and ended up losing us the game off that evidence so this game i was back to thinking with my gut and that’s why i voted marl over you
it was basically an impulse

it feels surprisingly good to get this off my chest
i’ll pull up some past read examples i just need to do some work stuff first
there was also an ego element to this because all the “good players” are very good at explaining and advanced thought processes so i thought emulating them was in my best interest
but in reality i’m just burying myself with this, especially now, so yeah
i’ll have to re-evaluate everything

that’s false
in fact it’s the other way around
my early-game reads are all 100% real and later when i find ways to explain reads i start making proper, reasoned reads and write off the earlier ones as made-up
