I actually think in a world where Marshal is scum Vulgard took the opportunity to switch to Arete rather than that he intended to bus.

If scum!Vulgard’s motive is to lynch scum!Marshal then why would he risk making himself look bad by switching to Arete?

neither a world where Vulgar’s intention was to bus scum!Marshal nor a world where he wanted scum!Marshal alive makes sense because Vulgard could also just have stayed on his JC vanity wagon like he said he would and no one would bat an eye for him not voting Marshal at EoD whom he had voiced as a scumread.

I say this as someone who was quite tunneled on JC.

Idk how Squirrel plays as a wolf but I’ve noticed sometimes he’s like, really detached from the thread as town because he’s not hawking the thread for live interaction like the rest of us with no lives. And it results in very face-value takes that are occasionally outdated or outlandish, which are kinda towny points for him. Not enough to clear him entirely but I kinda think his play this game more or less matches what I see in his other town games.

There’s a caveat to all of this, though, and I want to look closer into his slot later to give you a more solid opinion and either confirm or debunk my suspicions.

Squirrel reads seem very flat and lack deeper meaning.

either just beliving them but does not want to convince others (not believing themselves) or just post them because they think they have to to look natural

It wasn’t picking up, though. JC just never had enough votes on him to gain traction imo. Squirrel did but Vulgard hopped off him early on for vague reasons and never revisited him, which looks really bad for Squirrel (there’s the caveat I’m talking about).

and im gonna argue its the correct read. they dont try to convince others. even the “legacy” reads sound like they just were posted so there are legacy reads, not actually mean to push someone

thats not bad for them, rather seem they are resigned and should be read by other means than just reading their posts alone. some live interaction would do wonders

they were a wagon at eod, and i don’t think posting the legacy wallpost really comes from scum because instead of using that time to convince people they were town and get votes off them they just used it to make legacy reads which would also have given spew on a bunch of people if they are mafia
