only works on jedi
Everyone except rebels then
presumabley the rebels r the majority
idk tho
Theres at least 4 clonetroopers so
Iād assume it would be 4 + 4 + 4
Otherwise convert would just suck
I find myself confounded by the constraining reality of role design
How can I come up with a standalone role when every design has been done
The only recourse is modification
For no human being would consider creating a role with 300 modifiers
throw a bunch of roles into a pot and hope they work
coming up with original ideas is hard
most setups donāt do original ideas
even fewer do original ideas that are actually enjoyable
roles can only really be āuniqueā in the sense that they facilitate a function unique to the setup they are tied to
as youāve seen in this thread with roles like the cookie monster, most roles are derivative to other roles
they may have a few quirks that canāt easily be pinned to another setup but they are a variation on something that has already happened
itās more important to make a fun game than make a fun role tbh
Noted
I like that people started showing Braixen Clocktower characters for this, then didnāt pay attention to what he actually liked seeing from other roles and show him those Clocktower characters. With that in mindā¦
Pixie
Townsfolk (uninformed majority)
At the start of the game, you learn an in-play Townsfolk character (but not who it is). If you are mad that you are that character*, you gain their ability when they die.
To win, eliminate all threats to town.
Useful context: To be āmad that you are X characterā is to sincerely and convincingly claim to be that character, as judged by the game host (for example, claiming to be the Pixie is not sincerely or convincingly claiming to be the character you learned), and the characters in this setup are typically unique.
Rating:
5/5
Reason: I like this concept of having to work for your ability and that it is a risk vs reward type deal here. Although I feel like Iām being pandered to with this role, but it is definitely an interesting way to nerf a Universal Backup.
Why would I pay attention to what they liked seeing when I could just instead post Legion and Twister?
Because showing the semi-bastard character and the homebrew meme arenāt good ways to actually interest people in the format?
(Which reminds me, you fucked up the Legion ability by saying that each night*, āa player diesā. Itās āa player might dieā, because otherwise, as Braixen pointed out, the host is required to kill a player each night for every living instance of Legion.)
When was that my goal though
