Wording feels weird. I’m guessing it’s supposed to be like a tree stump though, like you can’t access dead chat so you stay here or whatever. Low impact disadvantage if there’s a neighbouriser or something, but that’s okay.

Each day, you may opt to copy one singular ability of a random living player. You will obtain the ability at the start of this night phase, and lose said ability upon the start of the next night phase. This ability is locked at XYLO.

The passive and ability don’t perfectly suit each other, but that’s okay. I have an issue with RNG-based abilities, as you know, and this could outright confirm certain players’ abilities or duplicate strong Mafia powers, but if the setup is balanced that’s less of an issue.

See the thing about that role is: All of its abilities are active whilst they are dead. When they are alive, they are essentially Vanilla.
