I chose not to use my role last night. I placed my faith in the rest of the town to not execute me, and in myself, to not get executed. I think I’d do it again. I’d rather survive because of my own competence than because of a role, and if I lack the former, then I need to learn it, not take so easy an out.
Though I’m also going to say that none of you fuckers should believe Jarek’s claim for a second holy hell why am I the only one questioning this

I mean, my logic is that most endless WIFOM cycle odds work out to about 50/50. It’s a push and pull - every time Jarek becomes more unlikely to fakeclaim the same role they had last time, town becomes more likely to believe it, and so Jarek becomes more likely to fakeclaim it. It’s like they said - fake whatever seems the unlikeliest thing for someone to fake. It hangs in the balance forever, in theory.
The thing is, the chances of Jarek actually getting this very specific role that they got last time are miniscule. CPR Doctor is an uncommon role, Even-Night is an uncommon modifier, and the idea that it’d go to Jarek specifically is another 1/16. I think I worked it out to 1/(20*24*16), which is like, 1/7500.
That earlier calculation is nowhere near correct, but it’s probably about the same order of magnitude as the real chance - it’s always going to work out as much smaller than the chance that Jarek just… thought everyone would believe them if they claimed this role, especially since they were right.
The fact that there was only one nightkill reinforces the idea that they’re fakeclaiming. It’s very easy to just… use the nightkill to try to back up your claim. Extremely easy. Especially since there’s either a mafia fakeclaiming Jailkeeper or a real Jailkeeper out there.
If we think of it this way, it’s either Jarek or Zoro, or both.
