Memes told me to shut up so I decided to take a day off and enjoy life, now I am back and it is time for me to do some work.
Anyway I have been accused of not reading the game, but quite the contrary really, I read everything.
Memes being town:
I am cashing in a tell card here that’s going to make this useless in the future. In both town games I have seen Memes he doesn’t mind doing this. He is an egotist but also he’s a real sweetie as town, he’s just sneaky about it. He is willing to die for his town if his town thinks it is best. He’s gruff but ultimately he is a team player. In the games I saw from him as scum he was a severe schemer and manipulator, always out to make himself look incredible using his ability to at times accurately hunt scum to make him invaluable to town before cutting their throats. This sentiment he expressed here I think is unique to town Memes. Especially when you consider we lynched scum day one and so it would be very important to ensure no more scum lynches, much less his own.
On top of this, the texture of Memes discussions - in particular the few posts where he has taken a stab at me - reminds me a lot of one of our town/town games where he attacked me a lot. One of the things I try to pride myself on is understanding when people are sincerely going after me versus when they are being performative. Note day 1 I ate Zorvo alive for how he went after me. He didn’t KNOW I was town, but also using logic we can assume if Zorvo THOUGHT I was scum then he wouldn’t try to go after me at all, ergo Zorvo thought I was town and was trying to throw me off of him and I smelled it right away.
I have the benefit of seeing Memes town game a lot. Does it exist as a possibility that Memes has crafted a very specific scum game for my benefit? Probably, he is gifted. However I think it benefits scum Memes a lot more to continue to go after me hard and cause a mess of me versus him while his partner is in the background slipping by unnoticed versus ceding and changing his mind. I can see why potential town Cream didn’t like that though, as without the knowledge of my alignment that could come off as some form of theatre. But given that I know I am town, I think scum Memes only benefits from going hard after me there as a conflict with me razes the topic as two big egos battle it out. I also don’t think he pulls that exact maneuver in the game state we had yesterday where now known mislynch Prisma was doing so little.
Now to the question of the hour: Would I be willing to lose the game off of this read if it is wrong?
I’m going to have to ISO everyone before I can answer that precisely, but it sure feels like the answer is yes. it is one of those things that I know and respect that Memes has a very good scum game but I feel, at this point, I know Memes’ measure as a town player pretty well after two games together on MU. As the days have gone on I see myself falling into a familiar thought process where I think Memes’ early games are pretty rough and clash with my sense of town reading people but the more there is from Memes the more the ‘man without a plan just doing whatever it takes for town to win’ shines through. I don’t feel the calculation that I saw in his scum games over on MU. The deliberate twisting of knives and bussing to optically look good.

So, I initially had a problem with this because it felt like a very made up read. But, for scum silviu perspective this type of hand wave of Zorvo’s behavior only makes since if Zorvo is town and Silviu is scum trying to get cred for correctly town reading Zorvo and fumbling the bag. Silviu isn’t terrible or anything so this type of defense of someone that he knows is going to flip scum looks pretty outwardly terrible. I just… don’t think optically it makes since for scum silviu to ever go this deep into a zorvo defense that is just flatly so wrong.
This read is helped by Magnus being pretty convinced Silviu was in his town meta as well, which I don’t know heads from tails about but it backs up my logic so it must be right tbh.
Also I say Eliza has done nothing AI but MAYBE scum AI would force herself to produce out of pressure? Maybe?
Either way I’d need to hear something really mind blowing to think this slot is scum currently tbh

Jarek’s EOD vote on Zorvo could be a bus, looking over some things he did later in the day such as this gem:

Then we all know he voted Zorvo at end of day which could be a bus, but then I don’t think Jarek followed up with any coherent plan as scum following such a bus vote. He didn’t act like big man on campus, he didn’t use it to really hard push any agendas or anything, instead it was this:

"Yeah they’re probably town but fuck ‘em’ to me is like, such an EARNEST town thinking process that I am going to be pretty mind blown if this comes from scum. It’s just opening himself to be questioned so blatantly and just not caring. It reads as extremely pure to me because who else but a townie just fucking goes for it and says “yeah this person is probably town” and then just votes them. It is so optically careful that I don’t think any scum ever thinks to do it.
